A return to normal shopping routines and pre-pandemic habits

A door sign indicating a shop is open for business.

Placer.ai recently released their 2021 Q2 quarterly index report for the following economic sectors:

Reports indicate that customer spending in-person is bouncing back from pandemic lows for all sectors listed. For Eastvale, this means money flowing back into our economy as local spending increases to match regional and national trends. Small and large businesses throughout our community will receive the financial support they need to continue providing goods and services to Eastvale’s population.

This is great news for business and for those that have been eagerly awaiting the return to in-store shopping. Sometimes, shopping was a way to get out of the house for fresh air and retail therapy. And we can all admit that it’s just not the same shopping online. (Think of the countless returns of items that looked great online but fit drastically different at home.)

Oh, the places you’ll go…to shop!

In Eastvale, we have 17 shopping centers that are either already open, currently under construction or planned to be developed. Our community is poised to benefit from the return to normal shopping routines and pre-pandemic habits.

With regular levels of spending the city will be able to use sales tax revenue to provide public services and continue developing Eastvale into the community our residents envision.
